PyTorch

PyTorch is an open source framework for machine learning, especially neural networks. It provides tools to develop, train, and run models that learn patterns from examples and data.

How it works

PyTorch represents numerical data as tensors and provides tools for defining trainable models. During training, a model compares its predictions with examples and adjusts its parameters. Developers can inspect intermediate behavior and experiment with model designs, then connect a selected model to an application that accepts inputs and returns predictions.

What you can build

Build image recognition systems, text analysis tools, prediction models, and research prototypes for AI applications.

  • Visual classification prototype

Train a model on labeled images to distinguish relevant categories, then evaluate it on separate examples before connecting predictions to a review workflow.

  • Text analysis experiment

Explore a model that categorizes incoming text or extracts patterns, comparing its results with representative examples of the real task it should support.

Things to consider

Model quality depends on useful data and realistic evaluation. Plan how errors, changing inputs, and deployment resources will be handled before relying on predictions.
